Aquarius Sign

In astrology, Aquarius, the eleventh sign of the zodiac, usually rules the period between 20 January and 18 February. I say usually because in some years these dates can shift by one day.

The water carrier represented by Aquarius is Ganimedes, a handsome Phrygian youth. Ganimedes was the son of King Trues of Troy and was spotted by Zeus while tending his father's flocks on the mountain. The King of the Gods fell in love with him. A large bird flew to the mountain, probably in the form of an eagle, and flew him to the skies. He has been serving the gods ever since.

The soul saturated with Capricorn in human matters is now endeavouring to proclaim the collective sphere and to transmit knowledge for its own freedom. Aquarius is fixed and has the element of air. Its colours are silver and blue and its tarot card is the star. Its motto is 'I know'.
